Defending Motorpoint British Supersport champions Mar-Train Yamaha set the pace in the final official pre-season test at Snetterton today in preparation for the opening round at Brands Hatch next weekend (18-21 April) as Alastair Seeley edged out Luke Stapleford.

Seeley had been consistent on his first official test and as the Techcare Profile Triumph team-mates Luke Stapleford and Luke Mossey continued to close in the 'Wee Wizard' upped the pace to hold the top sport and set the final benchmark.

Gearlink Kawasaki's Luke Hedger continued to impress as he prepares for his debut campaign in the Championship after lifting the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship title last season, pushing ahead of Tyco Suzuki's Taylor Mackenzie.

James Rispoli completed the top six as the American gets set for his first full season in the UK whilst rookie David Allingham was the fastest of the Evo contenders in ninth overall on the timesheets.

Motorpoint British Supersport Championship, official test, Snetterton, combined result:

Alastair Seeley (Mar-Train Yamaha) 1m:51.659s
Luke Stapleford (Techcare/Profile Triumph) +0.095s
Luke Mossey (Techcare/Profile Triumph) +0.231s
Luke Hedger (Gearlink Kawasaki) +1.425s
Taylor Mackenzie (Tyco Suzuki) +1.827s
James Rispoli (Team Traction Control Suzuki) +1.932s
