Lougher in action at 'The Mount'.

Ian Lougher takes a break from team manager duties this weekend as he returns to Oliver's Mount, Scarborough.

After a long and successful career, the popular Welshman announced his retirement last year, but stated that he would continue to take part in selected Classic events, with the annual Barry Sheene Festival being one such occasion.

It will be a trip down memory lane for race fans and Lougher alike, as he will be riding Brian Scott's 1990 reverse cylinder TZ250A, similar to the one he rode in the 1990 Junior TT when he beat Steve Hislop to win the first of 10 Isle of Man TT's.

The Scarborough meeting will also see Ian renew his partnership with Steve Linsdell.

He rode Steve's Royal Enfield to fourth place in last year's 500cc Classic TT (pictured) and this time will compete on a Paton 500, the bike that Olie Linsdell rode to victory in that same race. (Olie will ride the Royal Enfield at Scarborough).

The action takes place on Saturday and Sunday.
