if the rumours are right big teams wont talk to garry johnson for similar reasons and proberbly guy martin aswell

I haven't heard any rumours about Gary Johnson being black listed by any of the major teams.  I know he wanted a bit more than Triumph was willing to pay but that seemed about it.

As for Guy, my impression is that people sign him because he brings sponsors and fans and he's good.

You need to read the Smiths Triumph feature in last weeks MCN. Acording to them, it is a lot more than a 'bit more' than they were willing to pay. That together with his comments about mentally destroying GM, and you have a whole other ball game that some teams wont want to play.

Do you think other teams have blacked Gary Johnson because Smiths couldn't/wouldn't meet his pay demands? I don't think so. Also it seems to be a given that the Triumph is the bike to be on for a Supersport win, it didn't work out so well for Michael Rutter 9th 2 minutes behind Johnson then the next Triumph 19th and 10 minutes behind.
Maybe just maybe if Triumph don't win the Supersport races this year they will think Gary Johnson would have been a bargain!

been rumours for last couple of years big teams couldnt or wouldnt talk with garry
real shane because i really rate him

Dunlops performance was all the more creditable as he stopped in Ramsey to steal a Fireblade after he found himself behind after a couple of laps.

I hear Milwaukee Yamaha have realised their road race team and their r1 is muck. In previous years there r6 was muck too. Cummins dunlops x2 hutchy can't all be wrong.

Martrain is a good team but unfortunately this is a wasted year for dean Harrison. Bet he wishes he had stayed with rc express.

I heard today from a reliable source that it was a done deal after cookstown 100. The stocker came over with him because Shaun Muir promised Factory bikes but they never appeared. The back up plan was already in place with buildbase and hunts before the TT and preparing them for him. Made more of a race against time than it was but sounds like he gave them more than a few chances but they failed him.

Smr seem to have bsb pretty much sorted. Their road race team haven't a notion. One particular airhead is still trying to defend them on Twitter but just keeps digging holes for them.

There was no way a rider of Michael dunlops calibre would put up with that.

All the gear. No idea.

Michael Dunlop - Sector Lap Times
Of interest to his many fans, may be that unofficially, I had Micky D, Glen Helen to Glen Helen -on  laps 5/6 at
17m 08.29sec  or 132.09mph.

On the last lap, for Micky D to stand a chance of bettering Bruce Anstey's outright lap record of 17m..06.682sec or 132.298mph, he needed to be at Cronk ny Mona by around Bruces record time of last year which was ..... 16m..08.420sec.

He was indeed on schedule, arriving at Cronk ny Mona at....... 16m..08.362sec.

Unfortunately as we now know, it was to go 'belly up' at The Nook. Hope he & the bike are 100% for the Senior.

I think that given ideal conditions for the Senior on Friday, the 133mph lap, or very close to it, is a possibility, albeit remote...with any one of four or five or riders 'in the frame' as possible candidates to achieve it!
............................the magical time required is minimum 17m..01.2sec  (133.008mph).

(Please note that the above figures are strictly Unofficial & subject to correction!!!)

He was certainly flying on the last lap, and had the fastest sectors of any rider.

Reality race was won and lost in the pit stops , MD was fastest on track but the 20 secs lost in the pits made the difference

This is why we love the TT, it can be unpredictable a lot of the time. Superb event.
Talk about losing it in the pits, I always feel sorry for Bob Jackson when they dropped his filler cap, lost him the race.

I've always understood that they  didn't take him seriously, so made little effort to provide a competitive bike - Suzuki did a real job in '79, all on a handshake. Icon_exclaim

Obviosly when Guy Martin said Dunlop could win on a garden gate, Yamaha took it literally and gave him one. Icon_eek
I feel sorry for Dean Harrison he's stuck with the lump of rubbish. Can anybody come to his rescue and give him a descent bike to ride. Good TT rider going to waist. Icon_frown
