Why?
Was Ron Haslam relegated to second place in the formula 1 TT after a protest by Suzuki? early 80's which then sparked the Honda riders of Dunlop, Haslam and Alex George to wear Black leathers with all black bikes? Cheers John

Re: Why?
Crosby was allowed to start out of sequence and after the winner was declared, Haslam, the powers that be of the time relocated Crosby as though he had started in the correct starting place-.

Controversy still rages because of this and there are pros and cons to every argument....

Frankly there were many red faces, and really there should have been the time allowed for Grahams late start...Honda couldn't see it and as a consequence dressed up their team in totally blacke leathers for the following races.

It must have cost Honda more than the cost of the leathers !!! Instead of sympathy there was much ill-feeling.

Anything to add, Nick or Bill ??
