Harrison confident of Scarborough success

Mar-Train Racing’s busy summer continues this weekend as they make their second trip of the year to Oliver’s Mount for the annual Cock O’ The North meeting. Following on from a successful Southern 100 the Lisburn based team will be hoping that fan favourite Dean Harrison can retain the Cock O’ The North title he has won for the past two years.

This year the event has been reformatted with fans having the chance to mingle with the riders on Saturday before an action packed fourteen race programme commences on Sunday morning. Harrison was in scintillating form in 2014 winning seven races including a Junior class double for Mar-Train. This Sunday he will again compete in the Junior class on his YZF-R6 Yamaha whilst he will use his Superstock YZF-R1M for the Senior and feature races.

Team Principal – Tim Martin

“Dean proved how good he is around Oliver’s Mount back in April when he took the chequered flag twice, we have a lot of miles under our belts since then and made some big steps forward recently with the R1M so I am confident we can put on a good show this weekend. There is always a great atmosphere at Oliver’s Mount so we look forward to heading over as a team, with a bit of luck we’ll have some good results to celebrate come Sunday night.”

Rider – Dean Harrison

“I always look forward racing at Oliver’s Mount, I’ve had some great results there over the past few years and the fans are just mega. The new format will make Sunday a very busy day but I can’t wait to get the bikes out on Sunday morning, the circuit is great fun to ride. We’ve been making good progress recently so it would be nice to maybe get a few wins and give all the boys some reward for all the work that has gone in.
