Is it only me?
I am getting more and more excited as the days go by, and the TT gets closer. Am I the only person who simply can't wait to see wonderful people, great heroes, past , present and future, and old and new friends, racing, socialising and having a good time on the lovely Isle of Man? Come on folks, it hasn't been cancelled, it hasn't died, and it will be two weeks of the very best racing in the world by people who leave me breathless with their talent. Forget the politics and the changes we might not always agree with. If anyone is going to kill off the TT it is the pessimists who will make TT virgins think its not worth visiting. More riders than ever have entered, and I CAN'T WAIT! See you there!

Re: Is it only me?
Hi Helen,

Oh, if only I could be there. One of my mates has decided to come over at the last minute. He heard in Oz that it was to be the last one. I certainly put him right on that one and told him that finding accommodation would be almost impossible and now is the time to prepare for next year.

Next year? I hear that people are booking accomodation up for 2007 - do they know something we don't know (or don't want to hear?)

No , not only you! I also can't wait to go. It's the same thing every year. I need the TT for my soul and the rest of the year.

Re: Is it only me?
Surely the heavy booking for 2007 is good news...that's the centenary, and with accomodation always difficult, booking now seems a really good idea.

Re: Is it only me?
The TT is far from dead , there are people some of who are regulars on this board who like nothing more than a good moan , who love the black side of things , TT that , TT this , thats no good , may as well not go now blah blah , well if thats how you feel you have two choices and for once in your lives make a decision and stop moaning about something that may or may not happen.

I go to the TT for the enjoyment , i look on this board to read about the sport i love , im sick to death of negative attitudes , if the TT is to end ( and i dont for one second think it will ) then it ends , full stop , and we are left with years and years of wonderfull memories , we will be blessed that we can say in years to come that what we witnessed all those years ago on the Isle of Man is something that will never be witnessed again.....ever.

Long live the TT.....you are bigger than us all.

Re: Is it only me?
This thread is more like it!

I get goose bumps about the first ride or car drive up the Ballahutchin!

You have made me think about 2007! Can the Steam Packet take bookings that far?

Re: Is it only me?
1. Get some mates together in 2007.
2. Hire a yacht or refitted fishing boat.
3. Sail to the Island.
4. Tie up in Ramsey or Douglas.

Completely solve your accommodation and Steam Packet problems.

Errr, are you referring to a stow away Aussie? If so, count me in? Probably Don too. If only.

Re: Is it only me?
But don't tie up at Port St Mary as they put lights out to bring you in on the rocks at night.
I would rather fly in, hire a car and sponge on my mates.
