Tommy Bridewell and the Movuno.com Halsall Racing Suzuki team had a strong penultimate day to their Cartagena test, improving their pace to move ahead in the unofficial test times as conditions improved in the afternoon.

An overnight shower meant the opening session started with damp patches on track but that didn’t deter Gino Rea who was one of the first riders to venture out on circuit.

As conditions improved in the afternoon, the times began to tumble with Bridewell making strides forward despite losing time yesterday with a technical issue. The team focused on chassis set-up with the new Suzuki, before putting the softer option tyre in at the end of the day to set the time.

Jake Dixon had a strong second day at Cartagena onboard the RAF Regular & Reserves Kawasaki, choosing to focus on suspension and electronics changes before a race simulation, improving their pace  and setting their best time on the SC1 tyre option ahead of tomorrow’s open pitlane final day on track.

Michael Laverty continued to build momentum on the Tyco BMW to post a time marginally faster than he achieved yesterday with Gino Rea on the OMG Suzuki and Christian Iddon who tested a new tank and electronics changes on the penultimate day.

Tarran Mackenzie continued to adapt to the Superbike, dropping into the 1m:33s times on the McAMS Yamaha ahead of his debut in the championship this season with Josh Brookes working through a variety of chassis changes and alterations ahead of tomorrow’s final day.
