Gail - Friday and Saturday practice
An update on the final two practice sessions, both held in good conditions.

On Friday Gail decided to try another experiment with the gearing, but straight away wasn't happy with it, so after a lap at approximately 91mph she pulled in and reverted back to the original gearing. She got out for a second lap with about a minute to spare before the end of the first session, but it was quickly apparent that there was a bit of a problem with the handling of the bike which was jumping around more than usual. She pulled in briefly at Ramsey to adjust the steering damper, and then proceeded. Despite the problems and a 20-second stop she still recorded a lap of 92.88mph.

Having adjusted the suspension and put on the racing wheels (thanks to Matt Jackson for his advice on the former and the supply of the latter!), Gail did another two laps on Saturday night, with the second one clocked at 95.89mph. She was much happier with everything about the bike, and said she wasn't trying all that hard and will hopefully be able to improve on this on race day. One more practice lap remains after tomorrow's races, and then it will be all systems go for Friday morning.
