The Bennetts British Superbike Championship celebrates its 25th anniversary season of the UK’s most prestigious and fiercely competitive racing series in 2021 and fans can expect an incredible battle for this year’s title with the new grid featuring 28 riders representing six different nationalities.

Double champion Josh Brookes leads the new season’s line up as he bids to retain his crown for VisionTrack Ducati. The Australian will become the first rider to race with the coveted number one plate since Tommy Hill in 2012 as he defends the title for the first time.

The championship contenders stack up ready to take on the reigning champion with the line-up featuring a total of 12 previous race winners and a further two podium finishers, including last year’s runner-up Jason O'Halloran, who returns with McAMS Yamaha and Brookes’ teammate Christian Iddon, who finished third in last year’s title fight.

The established contenders will mix with some exciting Bennetts BSB rookies, including reigning Quattro Group British Supersport champion Rory Skinner, who progresses to the premier class with FS-3 Kawasaki as the team prepare for the debut of the all-new 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR. The young Scot joins podium contender Lee Jackson for the new season.

Bennetts BSB fans will also welcome two new Japanese riders into the Championship as Honda Racing’s contenders Ryo Mizuno and Takumi Takahashi prepare for their debut campaigns. The former title-winning team will field a three rider line-up this season as the experienced Honda pairing join established Bennetts BSB race-winner Glenn Irwin.

Six manufacturers are showcased in the 2021 Championship with Hawk Racing leading the Suzuki challenge in Buildbase colours with former Moto3 World champion Danny Kent alongside Gino Rea following some strong performances last season.

Meanwhile BMW fans are eagerly anticipating the debut of the all-new BMW M 1000 RR with a fresh line-up of Andrew Irwin and Danny Buchan at SYNETIQ BMW, the first appearance of the new FHO Racing BMW team with returning Xavi Forés alongside Peter Hickman and race-winner Kyle Ryde joining Bradley Ray at Rich Energy OMG Racing BMW.

The iForce Lloyd & Jones BMW team will also field the new model as they double their line-up with Joe Francis back alongside Brad Jones who progresses from the Supersport class for his debut season.

The riders will fight for eight Title Fighter places in 2021 ahead of the Showdown, and with nine of the riders having previously secured a place, including Oxford Products Racing Ducati’s Tommy Bridewell and McAMS Yamaha’s Tarran Mackenzie; the stage is set for a spectacular season of Bennetts BSB action.
