And it was on the famous TT Mountain Course that Steve Hislop's fame was established for all time.
How dare the forces of darkness try to impugn this place where legends have been forged?
These sad, pale creatures, which do not deserve to walk on the same ground as those past champions, have the gall to pretend to decide the future of the oldest and most testing road racing course in the world.
Perhaps at this Christmas time it is right for the ghosts of TTs past to return and visit their torments on these latter day Ebenezer Scrooges, be they in the ACU, the MMCC, and the DTL or be they in the board rooms of some miserly insurance company.
2006 is a year when the carriers of the flame will have to be more resolute than ever.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Rest in Peace Don Simons 1942 - 2012
