Jurby abandoned...............
after just half way through the programme, Jurby abandoned due to
thick continuous snow, got home now over an inch thick !
Who said we have to race in March & April to get this TT course licence, I
would well and truely done one after the Manx and had it done with if I've
known about the change with notice ! GRRRR
I really don't like short circuits much now like I do the real roads, so many
crashes today because riders going too fast on first lap with cold tyres, including Chris Palmer, yes he's ok as far as I know.

Totally pathetic isn't it? The ACU has a lot to answer to over this farce. There must be many competitors who have been forced into this ridiculous situation because of this TT licence.Anyone who has faced problems like this please PM "the witch" on this site. She would like to know how much you have spent and any situations such as Gail's.You can bet the ACU officials have been sitting, stuffing their fat faces in the hospitality units at Donington this weekend, not a care in the world :twisted:

Yes, please do so. I am horrified that people are forcing themselves to do things like this. If they had had sensible (safe) notice, I could understand it, but this is endangering people, by forcing them to do the meetings within a very tight timescale, when few are available, and weather conditions are not suitable. Reprehensible. .

I'm beginning to get sick of the whole thing, did you know this is the first short circuit meeting I have done since Spetember 2001 !
I enjoy the road these days, the riders are more sensible and it feels
safer !

CRMC Mallory was also abandoned yesterday after heavy rain making it impossible to clear up oil spills. It was a bad day for racing, you can't really blame the ACU for that (tempting though it is Wink )

And I have to say doing 2 short circuit meetings isn't the worst imposition in the world, even if you have to get them in this year alone. Remember you don't need the course licence to ENTER, you will need it when you sign on. And those 3 meetings can be a useful shakedown for the bike. 6 is still pointless but hey ho, I'm not going to the Manx in 07 so "whatever".

I couldn't help noticing that there were several riders at Jurby on Sunday sporting large 'Holiday Racer' stickers on their bikes - nice one! Lol

Hey david;
Just wait till TT scrutineering, when we all have to have our red, white and blue (yuk) ACU stickers fitted to our bikes, and keep them on for the duration of the proceedings.
Like a prisoner being flogged and having to count the strokes out loud Sad

They should be made freely available through this site for their face value plus a donation to the JDIRF.Everyone here should have one,the pros don't read this site (only Shaun Harris).Superb bit of get-the-ACU!Love it Lol
