Devastating news. Darran was a livewire, with a happy, funny personality and a passion for the sport. He will be very sadly missed by many. My thoughts, and those of my daughter and grandchildren, who loved him, are with his family and friends.

Totally stunned, i read of his accident last night on the british superbike forum.

Such a highly respected racer by all his fellow competitors and the fans that had the pleasure of watching him race.

My thoughts are with his family, friends and sponsors who are all so close.

Alan Armstrong the Irish photographer (and knew Darran very well) has produced a very moving tribute.

It can be viewed at http://www.aarmstrongphotos.com/darren-l...ribute.htm

I'm sure he won't mind me copying the link to here
