The only reason for this re-shaping of Windy is to protect the incompetent drivers from both themselves and other road users. It appears that they are incapable of negotiating corners which are approx right angles. They are not taught to do this when they take driving lessons and the government thinks it will be more cost effective to ease the bend than to make the driving test tougher. It is not just on the IoM that this happens. There are so many signs warning of bends, slippery surfaces, traffic lights etc., etc., that it is difficult to concentrate on the road anyway. You can't use a mobile phone while driving, but you are expected to read all the signs! Pathetic do gooders.

John McGinness said on Manx Radio, from the 'do' last night, it would knock about five seconds of a lap.

The 130 lap is getting closer !

Not forgeting "Dagerous Bends"
The only dangerous "Bends" I know are what you can get if you come up from a deep water dive too quickly.

Hmmm, Windy Corner is of course so named because of the sidewinds that often hit you on the approach as you come out of the lee of the hills on the left.

Previously you were down a gear or two and you could do a nice short-circuit stylee attack safe in the knowledge that there was a decent patch of kitty litter waiting if you messed it up. If this is now another high-speed scorcher what happens to anyone who gets blown off course on the entry? Will they be increasing the runoff? What's that about improving course safety?
