Ferry Company Shambles....!
What more is going to have to happen before somone really takes this outfit to task, It has just been said that a main spar broke on a loading ramp while bikes were on it, causing them to topple over....?

How regulated is The Steam Packet Company? This is not the first majour faileur to occour during a high demand period, are they a law unto themselves of do they really come under some sort of regulators.

Something needs to be done before there is a real issue here.....!!!

I say it again

Not Fit For Purpose........

Read the report from Isle of Man Newspapers Here.

This service is diabolical and something Has to be done about it.

It is awful, I agree... but that spar is the Heysham Port responsibility, not IOMSPC... different lot.

Very interesting article in the 'TIMES' today on high speed ferries.
It appears that with high oil prices they are uneconomical to run and many can't find buyers or hireres and will be scrapped. It suits the operators to run them at half speed and one of the largest 'Discovery' from Stella Line sits in Belfast Dockyard doing nothing.
The wheel is turning back to conventional craft.
