Duke ferries begin
Can anybody tell me which year Geoff Duke started running ferries from Heysham I remember the first year he was supposed to the ship mysteriously broke down, what year was that?

It should have started on June 1, 1978. I have a copy of the Motor Cycle of June 3 of that year. Headline "Manx Ferry Fiasco" -now where have I heard that before!

Nice picture of John and Hilary in Race Gossip, think I will drop the copy ver to them. Saw Hilary in physio last week, she's coming to with a few adjustments needed to the hardware.

Thanks Bill I thought it was a little later than that 79-80 but my memories not what it was I can remeber having to go to Liverpool again even though I live Morecambe. The Heysham service was going to be and now is a God send each June, to me anyway.
