MARSHALS CONVOY: TT 2008
Before practice or racing:

Please remember that the Mountain Road closes before the rest of the TT course by one hour during practice and half an hour on race days.

The Marshals convoy leaves the Creg ny Baa, heading towards Ramsey, half an hour after the Mountain Road closes each day.

The Marshals convoy leaves Barrule Park Ramsey (the last road on the right before the Hairpin) heading towards Douglas, half and hour after the Mountain Road closes each day.

For Practice week this means the convoys will leave either end at 5.30pm exactly. Please be there in plenty of time.

For each race day the convoy will again leave half an hour after the Mountain Road closes. Please consult the Roads Closed to the Public leaflet supplied with your marshalling pack.

Every vehicle must display a ‘marshal’s vehicle 2008’ sticker and every person with those vehicles must wear their tabard and warrant.

After practice or racing:

The convoy only proceeds in the direction of the course after practice or racing. Once the last TM (wearing the pink bib) has passed your point, you must get everything packed away and be ready to leave when the convoy arrives. The first vehicle will be the TTMA van, marshals pull out into the convoy and follow those already in it. At the rear of the convoy is a TTMA car.

No one may overtake anyone in the convoy and no one may enter the course after the TTMA car has passed that location. This convoy is to get marshals off the mountain as soon as possible after practice or racing and has been authorised only if the above procedure is followed so please obey these instructions.
