Bsa Gold star
Ok here is one for the oldies like me. Who has lapped the TT mountain circuit the fastest on a 500 GOLDSTAR?

The reason I ask is I met a chap the other day and he has a Manxman on his bike, a goldie, at this years MGP and he hopes his bike will be the first to top the 1OO MPH lap.

Bernard Codd rings a bell but I think fastest on a Gold Star has been acheived quite recently in the classic MGP.

Paul Dobbs lapped at 98.394 in practice for last years Manx; did not achieve anything like that before retiring on the second lap of the race.

Phil Gurner did a lap with a speed of 95.66 mph in the proddie race on a BSA Goldstar in '75, although it wasn't a DBD34 but the 'new' version.....

Yes, Paul Dobbs did 99 plus laps in MGP practice the last few years... darn DNF's on race day.

My research shows that John Cronshaw is the fastest at 94.85 in 1984. (a great result given the course etc back then..).

We are confident we have what it takes to best the TON at this year's MGP.
Cheers..!!
