Torrential rain reduced the Paddock to a mud-bath during last year's Manx Grand Prix (MGP).

Long after the floods subsided, mud-flinging began over who should pay for the improvements.

But Tourism Minister Martyn Quayle told the House of Keys that Douglas Corporation and his department had now agreed a seven-year lease for the site with an option to extend that for a further seven years.

He said a planning application had been submitted for new paddock roadways and hardstanding
