Andrew Pitt update
[Image: robmachdr.jpg]

Andrew Pitt is recovering in the Isle of Man after a very successful operation to fix his broken collarbone.

Andrew made a quick exit from Brands Hatch directly to a specialist surgeon based at the Nottingham Queens Hospital, after a consultation on Monday Andrew pushed for the operation as quick as possible and woke up on Wednesday morning with his shoulder repaired!

“I must thank everyone who has helped me get to this position so fast, the Brands medics were great, the speed they managed to get the X-rays done and emailed to the surgeon definitely made this all possible.

I am at home now feeling a bit tired as I’ve missed a couple of good sleeps but apart from that I’m in good form.

I guess I am lucky to get away with a collarbone now I have seen the crash, in this job you work hard to try and eliminate the amount of luck needed but some times it is out of your hands!

I will talk with Rob and the team about a test pretty soon; I want to get back on the bike and change this run of luck and get the boys smiling again”

“I knew when Andrew saw the crash he would count his blessing he only damaged his collarbone, it could have been much worse.

The good news is it is totally fixed already and he can pretty much start working on his fitness straight away, we will have a look at him early next week and see how he is doing with his recovery.

He is very fit and mentally strong, this is all part of the job and something the riders have to deal with, he will be back well motivated to join Dan and give the team a strong finish to the year”
Be right back. I am going to go find myself, and if I leave before I get back, make sure to tell me !! -
